Supercars Townsville 400

Cairns Indigenous Art Fair

The annual CIAF celebrates Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, music, dance, performance and fashion. Regional Flavours

Regional Flavours is back. You can experience the Sunshine State on a plate at Queensland’s premier free food and wine festival. Sit and eat all the state has to offer on the banks of the Brisbane River, what more could you ask for.

Airlie Beach Race Week Festival of Sailing

The Airlie Race Week, hosted by the Whitsunday Sailing Club, is a highlight of the sailing fraternity’s sailing calendar. The event provides exciting racing events in a spectacular setting. Evenings are fun-filled with food, free live music, and other events. Sailors, friends and family are welcome.

Royal Queensland Show (Ekka)

Queensland’s largest annual event is back this August, with the Ekka set to be bigger and better than ever. The 10 day event showcases life and achievements in the Sunshine State, bringing the best of regional life to Brisbane City, with some delicious food stands and family-fun rides thrown in.

When: 11th – 20th August

Gympie Music Muster

2017 marks the 36th year of the Gympie Music Muster, and the line-up includes Jessica Mauboy, Adam Brand, Lyn Bowtell, Darren Middleton, and Busby Marou. The country music festival is fun for the whole family, jam packed with events, stalls, and over 100 artists.

Whale watching

From June to October, something magical happens off the coast of South East Queensland. Humpback whales make their annual migration to the warm, tropical waters of Northern Queensland. It’s the perfect time to take the family whale watching.
