An update on Like a Ruler
Cannon Logistics’ owner-operator, Zac Popov, recently received an update on the progress of Like a Ruler, one of Zac’s horse racing passion projects.
When we last spoke about Like a Ruler, it had won its first-ever race at the Beaudesert Races. In a recent message to Zac from Like a Ruler’s trainer, Dan Bougoure, the two-year-old colt is continuing to perform well.
During a recent race (on Friday at Gatton), Like a Ruler finished second. “I was very happy with the way he performed on the Heavy 8 track and the run will only improve him,” Dan Bougoure noted in an email to Zac.
Mr Bougoure continued:
“Like A Ruler has come through his race in good order and has had a pretty quiet week on the training tracks. He has two options for his next race which are a QTIS (Queensland Thoroughbred Incentive Scheme) 3yo benchmark 65 1300m at Beaudesert on Wednesday 30th of September or he can go to a class 1 3yo QTIS Hcp (Handicap) 1350m on Friday the 9th of October. I will know which race he will start in when he has done some fast work.”
We’re very excited to see how Like a Ruler progresses in the future.
