Broncos ‘Oh, so Close’
Josh McGuire returns from a week’s suspension to bolster the Broncos front row stocks for this Friday night’s clash with the undefeated, table-topping Dragons in Wollongong.
After a heartbreaking loss to the Roosters last Friday night, the Broncos will be looking for a full 80minute performance against the in-form Dragons.
In a pulsating game of footy, the Broncos were up by eight and five minutes away from defeating last years premiers. Two tries to the Roosters in the last five minutes broke Broncos hearts and showed us just why the Roosters will be hard to beat again in 2014.
Ben Hunt had a break out game at halfback and was named man of the match. A special mention must be made to big Sammy Thaiday, David Hala and Corey Parker who all played well on the night.
The Broncos showed that they can match it with the best teams in the competition and will be no easy-beats at Suncorp Stadium in 2014.
In other news Heritage round is next week Friday 4th April v Parramatta Eels. The Broncos will be wearing our 97-98 premiership jerseys, which are available to purchase here.
